Disaster Readiness

Disaster Readiness

It’s the conversation that no one wants to have. What happens in the event of a catastrophe? Fire, flood, tornado, hurricane, earthquake, terrorism – alien attack – any of them are insomnia provoking. How has One World prepared for a disaster?

Our preparedness starts with electricity. In a web world, nothing happens without electricity. Our headquarters is backed-up by building-wide battery power and a stand-by generator. Our servers are in a vault with its own dedicated UPS and dedicated HVAC.

In the event that our three buildings – and your inventory – are destroyed, we will re-locate to another facility. Duplicates of our Disaster Recovery plan are kept in separate locations with lists of our vendors and the equipment needed to outfit a new facility. Twice yearly we review vacant real estate in the area with an eye toward a speedy relocation.

Buildings and inventory are one consideration. What about the data? Our software and your data is backed-up in two remote locations.

After the disaster has struck, One World offers a firm foundation for recovery, starting with insurance.

Through One World’s insurance carrier, clients may obtain Personal Property of Others (PPO) insurance.  The client will be listed as an additional insured under One World’s PPO insurance plan.  This plan covers the replacement cost of the inventory stored in One World’s fulfillment center in the event of a catastrophic event causing damage to the inventory.  Catastrophic events can include, but are not limited to, tornado, fire, torrential rains, wind, weight of ice and snow/collapse, theft, smoke, lightning, and hail damage.

    One World's insurance coverage includes:

  • Personal Property of Others
  • Commercial Crime Coverage
  • Workers' Compensation
  • Burglary/Theft
  • Identity Theft

Copies of our insurance policies are available to clients.
